Corona crisis: the most important training tips

Valentin Belz 7. April 2020

Depending on where you live, your training is more or less being heavily affected. Whereas you can still go outside with few restrictions in Switzerland and Germany, for example, this is very difficult or no longer possible at all in Italy or France. In addition to the fact that this means your original competitive goal may already have been cancelled, it has an additional impact on your training and training content. Here are the most important tips:

1. Comply with the instructions in your country

In order to limit the spread of the virus, please strictly adhere to the instructions in your country. Evaluate what is still possible and look forward to the time when the restrictions are relaxed again.

2. Adapt the training content to your new competitive goal

It is quite possible that your major competitive goal has also been cancelled. This is no reason to stick your head in the sand. Unlike you, the organisers, for example, have much bigger concerns. But you can help them! Take a look at our fundraising campaign.

To ensure your training makes sense again, find a new goal and start preparing for it with a new customised training plan. If you want to wait and see how the whole thing develops first before you commit yourself, reduce the intensity and work on your basic endurance.

3. Create structure in your everyday life

You are probably working at home too and have significantly less movement than usual on a normal working day. You should therefore make it a habit to start your day - where permitted - with a walk or one of our exercise programs and thus create structure in your day. This is sure to give you a good feeling in the morning!

Find suitable exercises in the following articles, which can easily be done in your own 4 walls.
