On June 7, 2026, the Glocknerkönig will start its 29th edition – and once again, hundreds of ambitious cyclists will gather in #bruckfusch to conquer the legendary Grossglockner High Alpine Road under their own steam. As usual, the starting signal will be given at 7:00 a.m., and no license is required. From the Ferleiten toll station onwards, the car-free route belongs entirely to the athletes.

The classic route covers 27.3 challenging kilometers up to the Fuscher Törl at 2,428 m. Those who take on the Ultra route will conquer an additional 127 meters of elevation gain and seven steep cobblestone hairpin bends to the Edelweißspitze – a challenge that demands endurance, technique, and mental strength in equal measure.
