How is my location sent?
Your location is not sent via the transponder on your starting number. This can neither record nor send the location.
Smartphone
Tracking is done via your smartphone at almost all events. To ensure DS live gold knows which smartphone belongs to which participant, you need to enable tracking on the Datasport App and carry your smartphone during the race. More information here.
GPS tracker
GPS trackers, which replace tracking with your smartphone, are only given out at individual events.
If your event is one of them, you will be informed of this in the online registration. If this is the case, you will receive a GPS tracker with your starting number, which will already be turned on and only needs to be attached to your backpack, for example.
