Mac OS X
Introduction
Efficient participant administration
Organisers work with Windata (remote) via the Internet directly on Datasport servers and as a result enjoy numerous advantages:
- Participant data is stored on Datasport servers. Our data centre is designed for high security and protects against unauthorised access and hacking.
- Datasport ensures the daily backups and protects you against data loss.
- Several people can access the participant data simultaneously.
- The Sport Service Manager has full access to the data at all times and can carry out important database operations.
Windata (remote) environment
Organisers can work remotely in the database via the Windata (remote) environment and make changes. The solution satisfies the highest demands in terms of performance, availability and security.
Your advantages
- 7x24h remote access to participant data
- Making changes and queries
- Printing statistics and lists
- Modern infrastructure, enhanced security and daily backups
Getting started
The following minimum system requirements are needed for remote access:
- Mac with OS X 10.6.0 or newer
- Microsoft Remote Desktop Version 8.0.3
- Internet connection
Remote desktop protocol software (RDP programme)
Download software
The RDP programme can be downloaded free-of-charge from the following page:

Configuration
- Start the RDP programme and create a new connection profile → New
- Enter the specific information to establish the connection.
- Open the selection window → No gateway configured , select → Add gateway and enter the following values.
- Open the selection window → No gateway configured and select the newly created gateway connection, close the → DS tsg. Close window.
- If you now start the RDP programme, a remote desktop connection is established to the Datasport server and Windata (remote) is started automatically. If the following window appears, select → Continue / Weiter
- You can now make changes and queries independently in Windata (remote) as part of the information of the Sport Service Manager.
- To terminate the remote connection properly, first close Windata (remote)
via → file → exit and then click → OK in the logout window.
Important information
The Datasport-Server.rdp file sent by e-mail is not suitable for access with a Mac. Please create your own profile and inform the Sport Service Manager that you would like to use the access with a Mac.
Expanded version
JumpDesktop offers a compatible RDP programme with additional functions (e.g. activate Mac keyboard configuration). If so desired, the software can be downloaded here, but it is subject to charge: http://jumpdesktop.com/jump-desktop-mac-rdp-vnc
