When was the last time you were a spectator at an event? Have you also ever wondered when exactly your partner, colleague or the lead will pass you and what their race time will be, even before you get to the finish? Or would you like to see the actual view of your favourite during the run and experience a first-person view of the race? DS live gold makes this possible and provides answers to all these questions.

Revolutionary GPS tracking solution

Datasport has implemented a groundbreaking solution, which combines timekeeping and tracking and also makes it possible to make realistic predictions. At the finish area, interested spectators can permanently track the progress on the big screen or on their own PC or smartphone and see how many metres have already been covered and when the next split times and the finish are likely to be reached. Thanks to the combination of real-time timing, GPS data, and smart algorithms, each individual runner can be located, and a virtual ranking list created.

Right in the thick of it

But that is not all. The "live experience” is further enhanced by additional features. There are namely different views, which bring the viewer closer to the athlete. For example, their position is not only shown on the map, but also in the route profile to be tackled. It thus becomes quickly apparent as to which obstacles have been accomplished and which are still to come.

Those wanting to experience the view of the athlete have the opportunity to “run with them” live via Google Street View. Real recordings guarantee a unique first-hand experience from afar. The route and surroundings suddenly become very real for relatives and friends. They thus get a real impression of what the athletes themselves are experiencing!
