Each participant receives a bathing cap in the colour of his category when the bibs are handed out. Each athlete is required to wear this cap during the swimming part. These bathing caps are offered by the organizers and can be kept by the participants after the race.

Doping controls are possible at any time and participants must submit to them regardless of whether or not they hold a Swiss Triathlon licence. If you are selected for doping control, someone will contact you and inform you that you have been selected for doping control. The Doping Control Officer will explain the procedure to you, but you should be aware that you have certain rights and responsibilities. For elites, doping control will be conducted in accordance with ITU/WADA rules and the Swiss Anti-Doping Regulations. It will take place at the Mövenpick Hotel.
Drafting is prohibited according to the rules of the International Triathlon Federation (ITU) except for the Open Race category.
Participants must have their own liability, accident and health insurance providing the necessary coverage for their participation in the Lausanne Triathlon. The organizer declines all responsibility in the event of an accident, fall, loss, theft, etc.
Wearing a helmet is mandatory
No license is required for the 2019 open races.
Medal ceremonies take place at the end of each competition.
There is no medal ceremony for the open race.

Each participant receives a bag and automatically participates in the big contest.
The first three in each category (except for the open race) will be awarded with a medal at the protocol ceremonies.
In addition, each participant in the AG category also receives a medal at the end of their race.

All Elite Athletes briefings will take place at the Olympic Museum on Thursday 29th August. Athletes briefing will be followed by the packages distribution.
Each participant must wear his electronic chip at the ankle from start to finish. If this is not the case, the competitor will not be ranked. The organiser reserves the right to prevent a participant without a microchip from starting. This chip must be returned after crossing the finish line. In case of loss or non-return, it will be charged CHF 50.00 + VAT to the participant.
The organisation of the Lausanne Triathlon requires significant logistical resources and this has an impact on traffic in Lausanne. Despite the organisation's efforts to limit disruptions, your car and/or public transport journeys may be affected.

The ITU regulations are binding for all categories. It can be downloaded under https://www.triathlon.org/about/downloads/category/competition_rules_rules. The decision as to whether or not to wear the suit on D-day is the responsibility of the referees. The information is displayed at the start and announced by the speaker.
