Popular ski and snowboard race on glaciers

The «Diavolezza Glacier Race» is a popular ski and snowboard race on Switzerland’s longest glacier descent. The start is at the Diavolezza mountain station at 2,978 meters above sea level. The eight-kilometer course leads across the Pers and Morteratsch glaciers, passing the world-famous ice giants Piz Palü and Piz Bernina, down to Morteratsch (1,896 meters above sea level). Unlike other “smoothed” ski slopes, this racecourse with a vertical drop of over 1,000 meters is not groomed and offers an authentic snow sports experience.
