The Lausanne Olympic Capital Race is a free race without ranking with a start in front of the IOC and a finish in front of the Olympic Museum in Ouchy while running along the shores of the lake. This race is organized by the Sports Department of the City of Lausanne, in collaboration with the IOC and will take place on World Olympic Day, Thursday 23 June at 5:15 pm. The minimum age is 5 years (2017) for the "running" category and 4 years (2018) for the "walking" category. There is no bib but each participant receives a t-shirt. The number of places is limited to 1200.
