The Swiss Loppet ski series: experience the 11 biggest cross-country races in Switzerland.
The Swiss Loppet has connected the eleven most popular cross-country skiing races in Switzerland since 1968 and provides an excellent opportunity to experience cross-country skiing in all its diversity. The series promotes a spirit of community, appreciation of nature and the joy of taking part, all while continuing to provide an athletic challenge.
Conditions of participation and overall rankings
Participants must take part in at least two of the eleven races to be included in the overall rankings. The results of each race that a competitor completes contribute to the overall rankings, allowing those taking part to gauge how they rank against other cross-country skiers. Anyone who completes at least two races will automatically be entered into a draw for the chance to win fabulous prizes. Full information on taking part and the overall rankings can be found here.
The Swiss Loppet 2025 event calendar
The series kicks off on 5 January with the 21-kilometre “Attraverso Campra” run in skating style. After that, it’s off to the most beautiful cross-country skiing regions in eastern Switzerland via central Switzerland and the Jura region. The three ski marathons of the series are scheduled to take place towards the end of the season, starting with Goms (in skating style) followed by MARA – the Marathon of Les Rasses) – in classic style. The season culminates with the Engadin Skimarathon, a 42-kilometre run from Maloja to S-chanf in skating style, on Sunday 9 March.
